UWATC Update: COVID-19 and training sessions - 22 March 2020

Dear UWA Triathlon Club members,

After ongoing consideration, we have decided to keep group training until 31st March and take a break during April with last training session being wind trainer on Tuesday 31st March. Current training registrations expiring after 31st March will receive a full refund for the remaining duration of their training plan during the suspension period.

We understand how important physical activity, good nutrition and social connectedness are to keep us healthy and our immune system strong. We will take the month break as an opportunity to design training alternatives to bring back to you in May to encourage you to stay active and connected with other club members. At this stage it is unlikely that this will include face to face sessions.

In the meantime, we would appreciate if you email us any suggestions you may have for this (e.g. zwift rides, Strava challenges, etc.)

We appreciate your understanding and support in this rapidly changing environment and we invite you to continue following the recommendations provided by the Department of Health.

Taking a break during April does not mean you should be discouraged from staying connected with us and your club. We understand circumstances are distressing for some and we want to reassure you – you have a club family here for you.
